Marko Marin (born 13 March 1989) is a German international footballer who currently plays for Sevilla, on loan from Chelsea F.C.

Chelsea career[]

Marin's transfer from Werder Bremen was agreed on 28 April 2012, with the Serbian-born German linking up with his new team-mates at the beginning of pre-season for the 2012-13 campaign.

Marko turned up early to work on his fitness during the summer, and it looked to have paid dividends after some impressive displays on tour in America, and he grabbed his first Chelsea goal on his debut against Seattle Sounders. His progress stalled slightly towards the end of pre-season with a hamstring injury, meaning a wait for a competitive bow.

After missing the start of the season through injury, Marin made his Chelsea debut during the 6-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Capital One Cup, replacing Juan Mata midway through the second half. His first league start came in the 1-0 home defeat to Queens Park Rangers, although he was replaced by Eden Hazard in the second half. On 9 February 2013, Marin scored his first goal for Chelsea to make the score 4-1 against Wigan.

On 28 June 2013, it was confirmed that Marin was to be sent out on loan to Spanish side, Sevilla for the 2013-14 season.
